Currently Watching K-Dramas: Winter 2024

Hey guys, it's almost the end of the year and I'm super excited with the latest line up of K-dramas this winter! For this post, I would like to share a list of dramas that I am currently watching and my thoughts on them so far!

1. Love your Enemy 사랑은외나무다리에서

Love your Enemy is a 12-episodes Disney+ drama starring Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi. This story is about two individuals with the same name, Seok Ji Woo (portrayed by Joo Ji Hoon) and Yoon Ji Woo (portrayed by Jung Yu Mi), who were born on the same day to two families who have been arch enemy for generations and how they meet again 18 years later after briefly dating each other in high school.

Thoughts on the drama so far...

These two chaotic duos are hillarious and it has been really fun watching them bicker and argue with each other! I've been a fan of Joo Ji Hoon since his Princess Hours days and both Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi are amazing actors! It is definitely refreshing to watch how they reunite again 18 years later after briefly dating each other in high school, and how fate has something else in store for these two. I'm also excited to see the development between their characters and how they will defy their families' history. I would definitely recommend watching this drama if you're looking for something light, funny and heartwarming!

2. When the Phone Rings 지금거신전화는

Another drama that I have been enjoying watching is When the Phone Rings, a 12-episodes MBC drama starring Yoo Yoon Seok and Chae Soo Bin. Adapted from a webtoon of the same name, this drama tells the story about a show couple, Baek Sa Eon (portrayed by Yoo Yoon Seok) and Hong Hui Jo (portrayed by Chae Soo Bin) who got married in an arranged marriage of convenience and how their relationship suddenly changes one day when the husband receives a mysterious phone call from a kidnapper who threatened to kill his wife.

Thoughts on the drama so far...

After watching the first two episodes, I became hooked to this awesome romantic thriller drama! I have to say that the chemistry between the two main leads is surprisingly amazing and I can't wait to watch the development of the story! I have been a fan of both Yoo Yoon Seok and Chae Soo Bin, and I was super excited when I saw the promo for this drama. I would definitely recommend watching this drama if you enjoy watching thriller and romance all in one frame!

3. Brewing Love 취하는로맨스

And finally, Brewing Love is a 12-episodes ENA drama about the love story between the sales queen of liquor, Chae Young Ju (portrayed by Kim Se Jong) and the CEO of a brewery, Yoon Min Ju (portrayed by Lee Jong Won). Young Ju is someone who good at hiding her feelings, while Min Ju is not good at hiding his feelings and is extremely good at sensing other people's emotions. One day,Young Ju decides to work with Yoon Min Ju to create a new beer to help save her branch from closing down. What will happen when these two opposite individuals meet and will romance blossom between the two?

Thoughts on the drama so far...

The first episode was pretty okay but the drama keeps getting better and better as you watch! I have not watched Lee Jong Won's drama before and I am intriqued by this unique portrayal of Yoon Min Ju, a person who is hyper-sensitive and blocks himself out from the world. His chemistry with Kim Se Jong is also amazing and I can't wait to watch how the story progresses between these two opposite polars. This drama gives off a light romance vibe with many heart fluttering moments and is perfect if you enjoy watching romantic comedy!

As they spent time together, Nana falls in love with Kotaro who is always cheerful and kind-hearted although he does not remember who he is.  The oldest sister, Mutsuki Narusawa  (portrayed by ...
